Laurea con lode in Odontoiatria e Protesi Dentaria nel 1985 presso l’Università degli studi di Genova.

 Membro dell’ International Board “Bruxism Consensus Panel” nell’ambito del International Association for Dental Research, (London 2018, Vancouver 2019, ACTA 2020, Boston 2021, China 2022) e del International Network for Orofacial Pain and Related Disorders Methodology (INfORM).

 Responsabile e coordinatore, insieme al prof. F. Lobbezoo e al prof. D. Manfredini, del Progetto di Ricerca Multicentrico Internazionale sulla prevalenza del bruxismo della veglia “AWAKE BRUXISM ASSESSMENT AND CLINICAL CORRELATES” A world wide project on behalf of the RDC/bruxism. 

 Vincitore del premio “Alex-Motsch-Preis 2018” come miglior articolo scientifico 2018 per conto della Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Funktionsdiagnostik und-therapie.

 Socio fondatore e vice presidente del Gruppo di Studio Italiano Dolore orofacciale e Disordini Temporomandibolari.

 Ideatore dell'utilizzo informatico dei principi di valutazione ecologica del momento (EMA recording) nel campo della diagnosi di bruxismo, strumento base per uno dei maggiori studi epidemiologici internazionali sul bruxismo della veglia attraverso un progetto di Ricerca Multicentrico diretto dal Prof. D. Manfredini.
